De Organographia & The Oregon Renaissance Band, directed by Philip and Gayle Neuman,
perform musicologically accurate 16th century Italian carnival music on their own
reconstructions of period instruments. Though mostly from anonymous manuscripts,
included are works by Azzaiolo, Lupacchino, Cara, Tasso, Bendusi, Tromboncino,
Layolle, Festa, Mainerio and Dufouilloux.
"...expert performances...delightful...another must-have CD for early music enthusiasts."
